I heard about Tulum Jungle Gym on Instagram: a friend of a friends posted a photo of him working out on the beach, tagged at Tulum Jungle Gym and I thought: "Wow, this looks like my dream workout". You know me, I love working out, I love the beach, so going to Tulum Jungle Gym was the perfect vacation activity for me (and Vivien, of course).

Not only the view from the gym is amazing (it is litterally on the beach), but most of the equipment is made from natural materials (wood, stones, coconut..). There are also functional traditional equipments such as olympic bars, medicine balls, kettlebells, TRX and boxing bags. This gym is definitely the perfect training place for people into weightlifting, calisthenics and gymnastics.

Vivien & I almost spent the whole day there: in the morning, we did a strenght training, then we had lunch and came back in the afternoon for some yoga (for me) and calistenics (for Vivien). This probably was one of the best yoga session I ever had in my life:there was almost no one and as I was stretching, I could listen to the sound of the waves and feel the wind on my skin.

The price for a day pass is 400 pesos - yes, that's a lot, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I did not hesitate one second. They also offer group classes early in the morning for the same price, they also looked like a lot of fun!

In addition to all this perfection, we also sipped some fresh coconut water as a refeshment. I wish all my workouts were like this one!
Raw Love
Close to Tulum Jungle Gym, there is a vegan restaurant, called Raw Love. We had a light and healthy lunch there, including this beautiful smoothie bowl!

Not only the food was healthy and delicious, but the setting was so nice! We were sitting under the shade of palm trees, our feet in the white sand. This was idyllic!

I really liked the hippy/boho vibe of this place and of Tulum in general. It felt so relaxing chilling here! Just note that prices are a bit higher at Tulum Beach than Tulum Town.
